Tuan Dao Shan Park, Qingdao
The project is located on Tuandao 3rd Road in Shinan District, Qingdao City, Shandong Province, covering an area of approximately 44,000 square meters. The park contains 12 historical relics, including artillery forts and bunkers, which are preserved as part of its unique cultural heritage.
The design adheres to the principle of heritage protection, adopting a light-touch, low-intervention approach to enhance the ecological value of Tuandao Mountain while reshaping the site into a more accessible and inviting public space. New additions include libraries, sports fields, study trails, lawn theaters, children's play areas, senior fitness zones, sea-view cabins, and recreational facilities. These elements provide residents with diverse spaces for leisure, entertainment, reading, and learning.
The result is a multi-functional urban park that blends history, science education, and cultural enrichment—creating a vibrant and inclusive destination for the community.
