Building upon the “half-mountain, half-water” planning structure, the park further emphasizes the value of a “waterside lifestyle,” establishing a scenic framework centered on lake viewing and lakeside circulation. Inspired by the concept of “the view across the water,” the design ensures that every step along the journey offers a new and varied visual experience. Through the design strategy of “one shoreline, three loops, five bays, and eight scenic landmarks,” the park highlights the visual appeal and value of its expansive water surface.
As a forward-looking addition to Guiyang's urban blueprint, the park fosters a distinctive and refreshing lifestyle—one that is both unique and approachable. Visitors are invited to walk, pause, observe, and rest freely along the water's edge. It is not only a recreational park, but also a living community and a creative hub for artistic expression. Centered around the lakeshore, the artistic street blocks and waterfront stage bring new possibilities to the daily lives of the residents of Lancao Dam.
