你为什么走向山野The project is located at the confluence of the Xisha River and Jiujiang River in Qushi Town, Tengchong County, Yunnan Province, China. Covering an area of 16,860.7 square meters, the site is embraced by water on three sides and surrounded by mountains. The surrounding forest belts are lush and thriving, offering valuable landscape resources. With Gaoligong Mountain as its backdrop, the site boasts expansive views and abundant natural beauty.
The client envisions creating a serene retreat immersed in nature’s beauty—an environment that fosters a deep connection with the landscape. In response, we as designers aim to rethink the relationship between people, place, and nature. Confronted with such a rare and precious gift of a site, we seek to rediscover its wild essence while fulfilling the client's aspirations.
The design adopts local materials, native plants, and traditional construction techniques to shape a pure and understated living space. With quiet, restrained design language and minimal intervention, we express deep respect for the surrounding mountains and open plains, allowing the architecture to harmoniously blend into the natural environment.
