The project is located in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, with profound cultural characteristics. Under the circumstances, “culture” is destined to be a significant element in the design. The site occupies an area of 3800 square meters, aiming to create an ideal living model of contemporary humanity. The overall planning and design concept lies in creating the value point of "spirit of Lingnan famous Garden", "quality of craftsmanship" and "Garden life theater". The design inspiration takes "hometown water Garden" as the theme, and takes Lingnan image deep into the cultural core. To inherit the cultural context as the ideal, let the community inherit the city's customs and values. It interprets the new life of traditional culture with modern methods, and creates a famous Lingnan garden that is exclusive to the Pearl River, becoming an urban cultural landscape that carries the cultural context and a container for collecting the symbols and spirits of urban culture.
The design is based on the thin and long space characteristics of the site, connecting four different themes of customized gardens, according to the attributes of each garden space, giving its own unique story and clues. Lingnan culture represents the collective memory and common values of the Guangdong people. As a unique cultural feature, we reinterpret the "regional culture" in the project design. For example, the design of Lingnan cultural elements such as tile, flower bowl, short pieces and Cantonese opera step theater with crab apple grain as a symbol plays a role in connecting the past and the next, enriching each customized garden. And this is not just an expression of seeking culture. It is important to explore the deep emotions and interests of the people, make the space become the carrier of culture, make the art become the projection of emotions, visualize the hazy Lingnan culture, and reach the core of regional culture.
