Jiarong Bay Mansion, Ganzhou
The project is located in Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province, also known as the "Southern Song Dynasty Capital." As the saying goes, "One Ganzhou City, half the history of the Song Dynasty," the city encapsulates the timeless charm of Song Dynasty heritage. Covering an area of 6,211 square meters, the site boasts abundant natural beauty and a rich cultural heritage. Both "nature" and "culture" are integral to the design, and the extended urban frontage combined with the central courtyard presents both an exciting opportunity and a challenge.
With an outer boundary of nearly 250 meters, the design draws inspiration from nature. 18 high-quality ancient pine trees were carefully selected, departing from traditional gate designs. The trees are thoughtfully arranged to reflect their symbolic significance. A long wall with light yellow grids acts as a canvas, where the interplay of pine trees and shadows creates an ethereal, ink-like composition that evokes the power and beauty of a majestic pine forest.
The overall design aims to balance the relationship between the building and the central courtyard by blending nature with modern living. The nearly 1,200-square-meter courtyard, centered along the main axis, incorporates classical Chinese garden design principles to modernize the ideal form of "walking, viewing, dwelling, and strolling." This creates a Song Dynasty-inspired living environment, offering residents a refined lifestyle reminiscent of ancient literati gatherings.
